your life.

Personalized strength and movement coaching designed to help you build confidence, improve the way you move, and stay active for years to come.

Meet Lauren

Founder and coach at GoodFit Personal Training, working out of her own garage gym in Chapel Hill.

Lauren coaching a kettlebell swing in the garage gym

I've been helping people become stronger since 2003. What I've learned over the past two decades is simple: people don't need harder workouts, they need smarter coaching.

The best training isn't about leaving the gym exhausted. It's about helping you feel stronger carrying groceries, chasing your kids, playing your favorite sport, and living an active life with confidence.

My coaching blends strength training, movement quality, mobility, and sustainable programming to help you build lasting results — not temporary motivation. Whether you're brand new to exercise or have trained for years, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you become stronger than you thought possible.

Outside the gym, I'm a wife and mom to two kids and a dog, and I try to live the same active, balanced life I coach. You'll usually find me with a book, cooking something new for my family, out on a walk or hike with my dog, playing tennis, or across the table for a board game night.

My coaching philosophy

There's no one-size-fits-all program here. Every client begins with a conversation, a movement assessment, and a plan designed around their goals, experience, and lifestyle. The result is purposeful training that builds strength, improves movement, and helps you stay active doing the things you love.
